Mediverse Editorial Submission Guidelines
Purpose
The Mediverse Editorial section provides a forum for verified medical students, residents, and physicians to share thoughtful, well-reasoned perspectives on issues shaping medicine, healthcare, medical education, and society. Our goal is to elevate the voices of clinicians and trainees through credible, respectful, and diverse viewpoints.


Eligibility
- Submissions are accepted from:
- Verified medical students, residents, fellows, and physicians.
- Occasional contributions from healthcare professionals or educators may be considered if relevant to our audience.
- All authors must have a verified Mediverse account and disclose their current role and affiliation.




Content Scope
We welcome editorials that explore:
- Current events and issues in healthcare or medical education
- Ethical, societal, or cultural challenges in medicine
- The physician experience and mental health
- Innovations in healthcare delivery or technology
- Medical policy, regulation, and reform
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion in medicine
- Reflections from training, mentorship, or patient care
- Commentaries on published research or ongoing debates
- Note: This section is not for original research, clinical case reports, or promotional content.




Style & Tone
- Write clearly, persuasively, and respectfully.
- Use a professional yet approachable tone suitable for a wide range of healthcare readers.
- Evidence and citations should be used where appropriate, especially for factual statements or data.
- Avoid:
- Defamatory, discriminatory, or politically partisan language
- Personal attacks or unverified claims
- Promotion of specific products, services, or institutions


Length & Format
- Word count: 600–1,200 words (excluding references)
- Structure:
- Title (concise and engaging)
- Author name, credentials, and role
- Body (introduction, argument, and closing reflection)
- References (if applicable, up to 10, in AMA or APA format)
- Include a one-line author bio (e.g., “Dr. A is a family physician in California and member of The Mediverse community.”)


Submission Process
- Submit via the Editorial Submission Portal (coming soon) or by email at [editorial@mediverse.app].
- Each submission is reviewed by the Mediverse Editorial Board for:
- Relevance and quality
- Factual accuracy
- Tone and professionalism
- Accepted pieces may undergo light editing for clarity, structure, and style before publication.
- Authors will receive proofs for approval prior to posting.


Ethics & Disclosure
- Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise.
- Do not include identifiable patient information or details that could compromise privacy.
- By submitting, authors grant The Mediverse a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute their work on its platforms (web, app, or social).


Editorial Review Policy
The Mediverse editorial review process is designed to maintain professional integrity while encouraging open dialogue.
- Editorials reflect the views of the author(s) and not necessarily those of The Mediverse or its partners.
- Submissions may be rejected or returned for revision if they fail to meet our standards of accuracy, respect, or relevance.


Rights & Republishing
Authors may republish their editorials elsewhere after publication, provided they credit The Mediverse as the original publisher and include a link to the original piece.
